STK 3316 1957 Ford Thunderbird E Code This 1957 Thunderbird is a rare 'E code' (2x4 intake) example of the iconic Ford roadster. The Thunderbird was introduced as a sporty competitor to the Corvette and many say that the T'bird actually saved the 'Vette from extinction. The 1957 Thunderbird, in its third model year, set a sales record with over 21,000 cars sold. It presented a new front fascia, new rear taillight/fin design and features from the previous year including a 12-volt electrical system, deep-dish 'safety' steering wheel and removable hardtop. This partially restored T'bird has been in the same family for over 50 years. It looks very distinguished in a careful respray of the White finish (1980) that is very good condition.
