1966 Chevrolet Corvair

Unique GM History- The original Corvair was introduced by GM in 1960 as a 'sporty compact. It was the most unique car GM had ever put into production. There were a 2-door coupe and 4-door sedan, both with air-cooled flat-6 engines mounted in the rear and backed by either a 2-speed automatic or 3-4 speed manual rear transaxle. In 1965, GM introduced the Gen2 Corvair - much more stylish and comfortable. Original No Frills- This '66 Corvair coupe is an outstanding, original example of the base no-frills Corvair 500 model.
