1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible "Fuelie

This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a beautifully restored 'Vette with tasteful upgrades and an outstanding look! When Chevrolet introduced the Corvette in 1953, its fiberglass-bodied design was quite novel for the time and its 2-seater convertible configuration was typical for fancy imports, not an American-made automobile at the time. The earliest Corvettes were also notably reserved in the performance department, coming equipped with 6 cylinder engines and interestingly, only automatic transmissions. Of course, for the next decade or so the Corvette's image transformed from a reserved boulevard cruiser into a performance-oriented American sports car leading to its first major body-style change in 1963. The 1964 Corvettes saw the removal of coupe's split back window that impeded the driver's view as to what was behind them.
