This 1947 Buick Super Convertible is a beautifully restored convertible that is equipped with numerous desirable options! Coming out of World War II, the American automakers were coming out of a time period where auto manufacturing was stopped due to the War effort. As such, the first few years of post-war production the styling resembled the pre-war style since the American manufacturers had yet to redo their tooling and manufacturing process to accommodate new post-war styles. In other words, the immediate post-war models were essentially jazzed up versions of 1942 models. In 1947, the Buick division of General Motors offered three distinct model lines, the entry-level Series 40 Special, the top-of-the-line Roadmaster, and, what was touted as somewhat of the best of both worlds, the intermediate Series 50 Super.
