1962 FORD Galaxie

This is a stunning example of a rare 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 "G" CODE 406 Tri Power four speed convertible. This 62 Galaxie 500 was the recent recipient of a comprehensive frame-off restoration by “Mr. Galaxie,” Donald Allen, whose shop in Clarksville, Georgia, is famous for its award-winning restorations of Galaxies. Jacky Jones assisted in the restoration with Donald Allen and arguably there are no two people that know Ford performance cars like they do. In early 1962, Ford was the only low-priced marque that didn't offer an engine larger than 400 cubic inches. Compared to the 421-cube Pontiacs, 413 Plymouths and Dodges that were the size of Ford's own midsize Fairlanes, and even the 409 Chevys, Ford's largest offering was 390 cubes.
