1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible

Following the tire tracks of the 1965 Chevrolet Impala remains a tough act to follow after more than a million Impalas were sold. It's a high watermark that has never been exceeded. For 1966, Chevrolet decided to follow the well-worn adage of, "If it's not broken, don't fix it." The Impala proved to be the #2-selling convertible in the U.S. in 1966, with 38,000 sold. Dressed in Regal Red (code R), this example was made in General Motors' Arlington, Texas assembly plant (VIN code R) during the fourth week of November 1965. The paint and trim are in overall very good order but there are some blemishes visible at the base of the trunk lid.
