1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible- The GTO remains one of the most popular muscle cars of all time and most folks say it introduced the 'muscle car' era. GTOs had big V-8s, hood scoops and dual exhaust. The name GTO was borrowed from the Italians (Gran Turismo Omologato) and implied that the car was 'eligible' to be entered in road races like LeMans.
