This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible is a sporty little summer cruiser loaded with fantastic options! Coming out of the 1950s and into the early 1960s, there was a gap in the American automotive market; there were no "cool" compact cars. Under the direction of famed Ford executive Lee Iacocca, the Ford Motor Company sought to fill that gap and that's exactly what Ford did on April 17, 1964, when the Mustang was introduced at the New York World's Fair. The initial vision for the new Mustang was a sporty, youth oriented car with a long hood, short deck, and a modest price tag.
