On the heels of the ever-popular Model T, the Model A marked its own success for Ford with almost five million units sold. Consumers loved the Model A as it was affordable, reliable, and its eye-catching modern design. Many body styles were offered including two-door, four-door, cabriolet, and many light- duty truck variations. Unlike the Model T, four colors were offered. The Model A was the first car to have a safety glass windshield.
