1969 Oldsmobile 4-4-2

Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. O.K. Oldsmobile guys, here's some juicy red meat for all of you who say we don't carry enough old Olds'. The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 was that division's response to the unexpected success of rival Pontiac's GTO, the progenitor of the muscle car. Caught off guard by the GTO, Olds responded quickly with off-the-shelf parts and the 4-4-2 moniker indicated a 4-bbl carburetor, 4-speed transmission, and dual exhaust. By the time this incredible 1969 4-4-2 Holiday Coupe came along many customers wanted an automatic transmission, so the numbers now stood for a 400 ci engine, a 4bbl carburetor, and dual exhaust.
