Check out this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible! It's a real beauty, and it's got a story to tell. Back in the early 1960s, there was a gap in the American car market. Detroit wasn't coming out with any cool compact cars. But then, on April 17, 1964, Ford changed everything with the Mustang at the New York World's Fair. Lee Iacocca had this idea for a sporty car for young people, with a long hood, short deck, and a reasonable price. And guess what? That idea turned into one of the most successful Ford cars ever! It even started a whole new genre of muscle cars called "Pony Cars." The 1965 Mustang had just a few changes from the 1964-1/2 models. The biggest change was that they switched from a generator to an alternator, and the engine was bigger, at 200 cubic inches instead of 170.
