This Chevelle underwent an engine-out frame-off restoration, with documentation and photos spanning from 2006 to 2011 showing the car being carefully disassembled, refinished, and restored. Originally a Monoco Orange car (paint code 72). In 1969, code 72 (or 72/72 for upper/lower) was often a special-order color for SS396 cars, serving as an indicator of a true SS, along with code 76 (Daytona Yellow). Power comes from its numbers, matching 396 V8 engine, which displaces 402 cubic inches, paired with an M-21 4-speed manual transmission and backed by a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. Previously restored under the ownership of a NASA engineer in Cape Canaveral, this car received a comprehensive body and paint work restoration in Orlando, Florida, in 2011.
