The car has obviously always been well maintained and serviced and garaged since new! In mid 1987 Rolls Royce introduced the 20,000 series, with a major design update from the previous models. To distinguish these updated cars, the serial numbers jumped from 15,000 to 20,000 with this particular example being number 20,523! These 1987.5 until 1989 models are referred to simply as the desirable 20,000 series as a result.
