1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS - Rally Green Rotisserie Restoration 1968 marked the second year of the Camaro, and Chevrolet was riding high off a wildly successful launch. To keep the momentum building, the front of the car received a more pointed grille while the rear tail lights were divided for a fresh, more aggressive look. SS models earned their signature chrome hood inserts and distinctive low-gloss black rear taillight panels, instantly setting them apart from the standard Camaro. Under the skin, performance was meaningfully improved with staggered rear shock absorber mountings, and multi-leaf rear springs were introduced for high-performance models to better handle the increasing power outputs.
