1953 MERCURY MONTEREY Convertible

Here is a beautiful 1953 Mercury Monterey Convertible finished in yellow| with a tan top and a yellow-and-black leather interior. It is riding on wide whites with Mercury wheel covers. This Monterey is a recent| documented frame-off restoration modeled after the car featured in the classic film ''The Long| Long Trailer.'' The paint shows a couple of minor concerns and a pair of small dings on the hood| but carries good overall luster. Chrome and brightwork are beautiful and reflect brilliantly against the paint. The power convertible top will need a new drive screw| but it lowers and raises by hand. The top is new in beige and comes with a black parade boot. Under the hood is a 255 CID Flathead V8 paired with a 3-speed Merc-O-Matic| still running 6-volt positive ground - a setup that makes this car a pleasure to drive.
