This 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible is a beautifully restored, thoroughly documented example of one of the most iconic muscle cars of the classic car era - and it's ready to be the centerpiece of any serious collection. The muscle car era was born in 1964 when Pontiac dropped its legendary 389 cubic inch V8 into the mid-size Tempest/LeMans platform and called it the GTO. Not to be left behind, Oldsmobile responded by repackaging its "Police Pursuit" performance option into a street-ready performance package of its own - the 4-4-2 - releasing it mid-year 1964 on the F-85/Cutlass mid-size platform. In its debut year, the name said it all: 4-barrel carburetor, 4-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts, backed by a 330 cubic inch V8 along with heavy-duty suspension and cooling upgrades.
