Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. For as long as most people can remember the Chevrolet Corvette has been the standard bearer of American performance cars. What is often forgotten is the fact that only some serious scrambling by GM's engineering staff, and Zora Arkus-Duntov in particular, changed the Corvette from a stylish cruiser into a serious sports car that could challenge the world. This gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet Corvette is an outstanding example of Chevrolet's first world-class sports car. Beneath the hood rests the legend; a numbers matching (CN 3731548, EC F225EL) 283 V8 topped with the correct Rochester fuel injection (7014360). This was the first use of fuel injection in a mass produced automobile and the first to produce 1 horsepower per cubic inch.
