1961 Chrysler Imperial

Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. The Chrysler Imperial was introduced in 1926 as Chrysler's flagship luxury vehicle. The Imperial name was used on various high-end models until 1955 when Chrysler registered it as separate division under the Chrysler Corporation, much as Ford would do with Lincoln two years later. Unfortunately, the public perceived the car as a Chrysler, which resulted in poor sales for the unique, high-quality marque. This wild 1961 Imperial Crown Southampton Hardtop Sedan is an outstanding example of these unusual automobiles. Beneath the expansive hood is a Mopar masterpiece, the stout 413 V8, which moves this big sled with alacrity.
