Dodge built exactly 1,640 Challenger R/Ts with the V-code 440 Six Pack engine in 1970. Out of those, 847 had a 4-speed manual and 793 had automatic transmissions. Experts estimate only a fraction of these were equipped with the Super Track Pack, pushing the number down to just a few hundred units. [1, 2] The legendary V-code package featured a massive 440-cubic-inch engine topped with three two-barrel Holley carburetors, making a tire-melting 390 horsepower. To get the Super Track Pack (Option Code A32), buyers had to order the 4-speed manual or the TorqueFlite automatic along with a heavy-duty Dana 60 rear axle and 4.10 "Sure Grip" gears.
