Americans have had a love affair with Chevrolet's Camaro since it went on sale on Sept. 29, 1966 to compete with Ford's wildly successful Mustang. Those first generation cars (1967-1969) became legendary when Roger Penske and Mark Donohue's Camaros won the SCCA Trans-Am series in 1968 and 1969, and they've been in demand ever since. But the early, chrome-bumper 2nd generation cars (1970-1973) proudly illustrate what is without question one of the cleanest designs to ever come from Detroit. Chevrolet's stylists, working under the brilliant Bill Mitchell, created a taut form that contemporary critics compared favorably to a Ferrari! This clean 1970 Camaro is a fun example of these classic cruisers.
