Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 28th year in the classic and muscle car business. The Chevrolet Corvair is a rear-engine, air-cooled compact car that was produced by Chevy from 1960-1969 to compete with smaller, more efficient offerings from the likes of VW, Rambler, and Studebaker. Originally conceived as an economy car, the Corvair was too expensive and revolutionary for its target audience, and it eventually found success as a sporty compact. Ironically, the Corvair's early success spawned the sporty vehicle that would be its nemesis; Ford's ultra successful Mustang. This cool 1966 Corvair Monza Convertible is an excellent example of these unconventional, semi-exotic Chevrolets. Beneath the rear decklid you'll find the optional aluminum 2.7L air-cooled flat 6 that spins out a smooth 140 hp with 4x1bbl carburetion.
