Before the Grand National became one of the most feared American performance cars of the 1980s, Buick was already proving that a turbocharged V6 could challenge traditional V8 muscle. The 1984 Buick Grand National introduced the model's famous all-black look, and with only 2,000 produced that year, these early examples are an important part of Buick performance history. Under the hood is the turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 paired with a TH200-4R four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. A 10-bolt rear end with 3.42 gears puts the turbocharged power to the pavement, while dual Flowmaster exhaust gives this V6 Buick a distinctive sound.
