The 1982 Corvette Collector's Edition closed out the C3 generation in style, and it did so with a genuine first for the model, a functional opening rear glass hatch in place of the standard fixed rear window, a change that finally gave Corvette owners real everyday practicality to go along with the performance. Only 6,759 examples of this Collector's Edition were built out of 25,407 total 1982 Corvettes, making this one of the rarer and more significant variants of the C3's final year. Finished in a striking Silver Beige Metallic with a fade away silver beige gradient paint scheme, pinstripes, and exclusive cloisonne emblems, this Corvette has an exterior presentation unlike any other C3 Stingray.
