More Details
The 1962 Chevrolet Impala debuted as part of the model's third generation, featuring a more conservative, boxier styling than its finned predecessors. It introduced the famous "Crump" roofline design on hardtop coupes, mimicking the look of a convertible top. It also became a legendary performance icon with the availability of the powerful 409ci V8 engine, later immortalized in pop culture by The Beach Boys. This particular example originally came with a 283ci V8 but a freshly rebuilt 327ci V8 was installed in 2020. The engine is fed by a 650cfm 4-barrell Holley carb that sits atop an Edelbrock Performer intake. Exhaust is handled by a set of performance headers that sound just plain nasty ripping through its Magnaflow performance exhaust. In 2026 it was upgraded with a new Tremec TKX 5-Speed tranny, new 18” Ridler rims with spinner center caps and new Nitto tires. At the same time the tranny was installed it received a Right Stuff 4-wheel disc brake conversion with 2” drop spindles and upgraded drilled and slotted rotors. Other upgrades made within the last year include the power rack and pinion steering rack, the front and rear sway bars, the Dakota Digital HDX gauges, a Retro Radio with BT, dual chrome antennas as well as some new trim and emblems. The interior shows well with a new headliner and floor mats as well as a new dash mat. The trunk looks great as well with its fitted carpets. The paint was done a few years ago and there are some minor issues shown in the photos that are hard to see without looking closely. Based on the current JD Power values, its present condition and factoring that it does not have its original engine we would appraise this beauty at $43,335.00. We are serious about finding a new home for it and have priced it aggressively so if you like what you see we suggest that you reach out before it is too late!
